Hello, I am Doug ‘Dougle’ Derkacs, a web design, automation, and ecommerce professional that also indulges in many types of photography. Before picking up photography, some of my joys included hiking, travel, and exploration but I always found myself wanting to capture the many interesting things and places I came across in detail mostly to solidify the memories. Years ago when my fiancée’s upcoming beauty business was on the horizon I decided it was time to grab a camera and jump into the world of photography for both recreation and business purposes. Photography quickly became more than another skillset for me but also a passion and pleasure.
Macro photography is my favored kind of photography as it allows us to see the other tiny worlds within our own in extravagant detail. Macro is a craft that takes a lot of patience but it also brings peace through enjoyment along with discovery of many fascinating entities in nature. There’s so many things we miss in our every day hustle and bustle but macro is an outlet that has a way of slowing down time and allowing one to take in the small things.
